We made it to Paradise

As you can tell by my title we have made it to Guangzhou safely. It was a very long and exhausting day. We got to the hotel with two very tired kids around 11pm. We were thrilled to see the luxurious bed and fell right into it. The hotel is AMAZING! We had to be up early to go to Ali's medical appt. and it was a bit traumatic for her. Poor girl should nap well. We are beyond excited to be here with more American friends and that was such a welcome sight! Tai has a little friend and a swim date already set up while sis naps.

I need to get our girl down for a nap so I will post more when I get a chance. I took some pics on the IPad but don't know how to attach them to my email (sad, i know). If one of my tech savvy friends would email me and let me know how to do it, then I will post some more cuteness for you!

btw - we are now down one laptop and one iPhone:( someone on China Air is very happy right now. Please pray for that long flight for us as we have now lost 50% of our entertainment.

Our girl is so cute and funny and we can't wait for you to meet her!

  1. Heidi, I just found your blog address again and am so happy to catch up with your journey. Alice is beautiful! The pix with big bro Tai are sweet. Glad you survived the heat inNanning and are enjoying GZ.

  2. Great news!!! We can now breathe since we know our family is safe. Sorry about losing entertainment for the long flight but you both have the ability to sing, rhyme, play games and care for your children. Not all parents have that gift or capability so Ali and Tai are very lucky kiddos!!! Lucy is doing well. Heidi, I get the brush out and she runs!!! Poor puppy but she looks so much better after a nice grooming. Looking forward to seeing you in five more sleeps!!! We love you and miss you!!!! Oh, Ye Ye is out in the garage working on the dollhouse bookcase for his special little Ali!!!! Nei Nei & YeYe.

  3. Big Japanese cities always have a district where you can buy cheap electronics. Maybe GZ does and you could get an iTouch??? Hope it was the old iPhone. Hard to believe your trip is already drawing to a close. Soon you'll be home - adapting Ali to your house, Lucy and the US...and adapting Tai to kindergarten! xoxo

  4. So sorry you lost some equipment. Did you call the airline? I really didn't like the China airlines, so hot and always late.

Loved Guangzhou, especially the Island. Such a nice change. Enjoy. blessings
